Movement and therapy go together; here is some proof!

If you are a little bit of a nerd like me and like to read scientific research and simply want proof before you throw yourself into something new, then this blog is for you!

So what are some of the findings that I have been able to gather from scientific journal articles? Here are the conclusions of some of my favourites:

  • Walking in an urban park has relaxing effects even in winter

  • A brief walk in the forest elicited physiological and psychological relaxation effects on middle-aged hypertensive individuals

  • Walking outdoors was associated with improved mood, but walking indoors was not

  • Walking in the bamboo forest improves mood and reduces anxiety
